Classical civilization

 Classical Civilization

Classical civilization occurred in mountain countries surrounded by three different seas: the Aegean, the Mediterranean, and the Ionian. The fact that these countries were closely connected helped a lot with their trade and their ability to advance in their architecture since, in a way, they could feed off each country's unique designs.

Things built during the golden age 480-400 B.C. were the Pantheon and the advancement in architecture in the classical orders and ancient Greek architecture.

This is what the Parthenon looks like today. This is one of the most ancient pieces of architecture that has lasted for centuries. Even in harsh conditions, it still stands in any type of weather and can tell bits and pieces of the past and how advanced architecture was during that time.

The Golden Age shows how people in the time managed to balance the weight of the marble stone of the roof in marble columns of different shapes and sizes, as can be seen in the Parthenon.

This is another type of column that ancient Greeks used as a form of worship to their gods. It is mainly used in the temples of specific gods that the city worships; for example, the city of Athens worships the goddess Athena, after whom the town was named. She was known as the goddess of wisdom.

This is a vase. Ancient Greeks used vases as a form to preserve their history by engraving certain moments that happened during that time or to simply tell a story.

This is a modern version of ancient Greek architecture. The Old United States Mint San Francisco was built in 1889

The Jefferson Memorial is made in a modern version of ancient Greek architecture, as you can see by the type of columns it uses.

The United States caption uses a lot of columns, which makes it another example of modern ancient Greek architecture.
