 English Renaissance

The English Renaissance lasted from 1550 to 1660. During sub-periods, they were named after this time and had unique designs for rulers.

The Tudor Style was created during a conflict between the pope and King Henry V11. he later became the head of the Church of England and increased the number of houses and land given to wealthy merchants and traders during his reign.

The Tudor style was the start of the English Renaissance.

The Gothic era inspired the Tudor style, much like Box-like chairs, beds, and trestles.

During the Elizabethan period, many manors and country houses were built and the development of the Gateways and long drives.

Inigo Jones


Inigo Jones was born on July 15, 1573, and was the founder of the English classical tradition of architecture and was not just an architect but also a painter. He also built the Queen's house in Greenwich, London.
