The early French Renaissance started in the year 1484 59 1547. The Neoclassic Renaissance began in the year 1730 to 1760. Neoclassic architecture started during the reign of Louis XVI, and the French were also at the center of the Gothic architectural era.
Francois 1 is known as the King of the Chateau. He had Leonardo Da Vinci work for him. He built the Chateau de Blois, the Chateau de Chambord, and the Chateau de Fontainebleau.

There weren't many new religious architectures at this time in France, and during that period, how the exterior looked mattered more than it did before.

Jacques-Germain Soufflot was born on July 22, 1713. He is a well-known architect who built the Pantheon in Paris, his most famous work; he also built the Hotel-Dieu.
