Ancient Civilization

   Ancient Civilization

The first ancient civilization started in Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Nubia is mentioned in the textbook. In Egypt, it is considered an essential period since many considered death highly important to them at that time. Hence, the elites highly practiced the custom of entombing the dead since they could afford to do it. Because of this practice, we have many artifacts from that time that lasted centuries, such as pieces of furniture that they added to the tombs of the dead.

This image of an Egyptian tomb clearly shows how seriously the Egyptians took the dead in their culture.

The textbook mentions on page 24 that a folding bed made with wood and rush matting was found in the tomb of the pharaoh Tutankhamen; they illustrate it.

this it the illustration in the textbook

This is a photo of an Egyptian bed in a museum.

The fact that a folding bed existed during Tutankhamun’s reign shows how much we improved the material we used for folding bed furniture. This is a modern folding bed that is later now in present time has involved in many different versions such as a folding couch bed and this bed that I found a image of that you can be given when you go to a hotel when you need a extra bed,

This is a museum that was inspired by Egyptian architecture that can be found in San Jose.

This is another image that shows a modern version of Egyptian architecture the museum that is located in paris.

  2. Hello Irma! I really like the pictures you chose for your current applications. I love the columns from the museum in San Jose. It reminds me of the Dutch design of Delft. Your blog was really good, but I wish it was a little longer!
